Theodora Tsikrika

Theodora Tsikrika (female), PhD received the Degree in Computer Science from University of Crete, Heraklion, Greece, the MSc degree in Advanced Methods in Computer Science from Queen Mary, University of London, UK, and the PhD degree in Computer Science also from Queen Mary, University of London, UK. She has been a postdoctoral research fellow with CERTH-ITI since 2013 and has previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher at CWI (Amsterdam, the Netherlands), in 2007-2010, the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland (Sierre, Switzerland) in 2011-2012, and the Royal School of Library and Information Science (Copenhagen, Denmark) in 2013. Her research interests focus on the intersection of the fields of Information Retrieval, Data Mining, and Artificial Intelligence (AI), with particular focus on AI-based multimodal and predictive analytics for security, cybersecurity and defence applications. Since 2007, Theodora Tsikrika has participated in several European Security/Cybersecurity/Defence research projects serving as deputy coordinator, scientific/technical manager, or WP leader, and has co-authored more than 100 publications in refereed journals and international conferences.
