RISE SD 2024 conference will be hosted in Chalkidiki, a peninsula in Northern Greece, renowned for its stunning natural beauty and amazing beaches. It consists of three smaller peninsulas, known as “legs”: Kassandra, Sithonia, and Athos.

Sithonia, the second leg of Chalkidiki, is particularly known for its magnificent landscapes that combine mountains and sea. Sithonia boasts some of the most impressive beaches in Chalkidiki (e.g. Porto Carras, Kalogria, Karidi, etc.) that are characterised by their clear, turquoise waters and golden sands. The area is rich in forests with pine trees that reach down to the sea, creating a stunning natural backdrop. Visitors can enjoy hiking on Sithonia’s trails and explore its lush landscapes. In Sithonia, there are picturesque villages such as Nikiti, Neos Marmaras, and Sarti, offering traditional Greek hospitality and cuisine. These villages maintain their authentic character and are perfect for experiencing the local culture and enjoying Greek gastronomy. Sithonia offers many activities for nature and adventure enthusiasts, such as diving, sailing, and cycling. The area is also known for its wineries and olive groves, providing unique culinary experiences.

The venue of the conference is Porto Carras Grand Resort in Chalkidiki and offers special prices for the accommodation of the conference participants.
