Ernesto La Mattina is the Head of the Data Centric AI Research Unit, within the Digital Technologies Business Unit at Engineering Ingegneria Informatica Spa. He has expertise in Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining, Big Data Analytics, Multimodal Information Fusion.

Currently, he is coordinating the ARIEN (Artificial IntelligencE in fighting illicit drugs production and traffickiN) and LAGO (Lessen data Access and Governance Obstacles) projects. In the recent past he coordinated AIDA, ANITA, DANTE and TRILLION projects.
